This page will be our busts page. Everyone who we think is set up for failure this year. We have who we thought would bust last year also. If you are thinking about drafting these players this is something to make you think twice. 04' Busts Busts 1 Busts 2 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Vick QB ATL - He is currently being selected as the 4th running back in mock drafts. That is insane. He will be a top 15 QB not a top 5. He hasn't got the WRs to make him a top five QB. He only threw 17 tds last year. He did have 1000+ yards running, but only three TDs rushing. There are much safer picks at QB that you can take later than Vick at 4. Let someone else deal with his ups and downs and draft a solid QB who will throw 25 TDs. Deshaun Foster RB CAR - He is going as the 26th RB in the fourth round of most drafts. He has always had trouble staying healthy and there is a ton of competition for that same spot he occupies. Carolina even drafted a big bruising back to challenge foster for the starting spot. Let someone else take him in the fourth round and get someone with less competition and a better record of health instead. Andre Johnson WR HOU - He is going as the 7th overall WR in drafts at this time. There is no doubt that he is very talented. The problem is that in his first two seasons he finished in the 20-25 range in most leagues. He will probably jump some this year, as it is his third year in the NFL but that jump won't be 17 spots. The team he plays on plays a conservative offense and people shouldn't expect them to go crazy and throw 65% of the time this year. It won't happen. If you can get him as the 15th WR get him, otherwise smile and let someone else take him as the 7th WR. |
